IT Asset Disposition (ITAD) Services

SK tes handles reverse logistics to our global ITAD facilities, offering packaging, palletizing and secure transportation. Assets are documented at your facility and kept secure throughout transportation. 

Once assets arrive our staff will unload the assets, take an inventory and pictures and reconcile the items received to the record generated by the driver at the time of collection. This secure and unbroken chain of custody provides the peace of mind and audit trail required by the most security-conscious corporations.  

Our secure reverse logistics services utilize owned vehicles and vetted third parties, featuring hard-sided, GPS-enabled, alarmed and bolt-locked vehicles to ensure your equipment and data is secure.  We also have a range of on site data destruction services available. 

We leverage our large global footprint to deliver transportation solutions that reduce negative impact on the environment, while also improving the efficiency and security while your assets are being moved.  

Upon arrival at SK tes equipment is unloaded, inventoried and photographed as well as checked against the driver’s collection record. This unbroken chain of custody provides peace of mind for security-conscious corporations.  

We track all assets in our warehouse management system, documenting serial numbers, asset tags, type, make, model, and configuration. Identifying marks and customer references are removed, and detailed reports are provided in the SK tes Client Portal. 

Upon receipt we perform value appropriate assessment and pre-sort your assets.

We use software-based diagnostics to conduct functional tests and inspect units for visual damage or missing components. These tests also capture detailed hardware configurations. 

For data storage equipment and media that has not undergone on-site data destruction, we perform data erasure to the NIST 800-88 and IEEE 2883-2022 standards, ensuring all sectors are overwritten. Drives with any damaged sectors are securely shredded. A Certificate of Data Destruction (COD) is provided for all data-bearing equipment. Multiple systemic and visual audits are built into this process to ensure all data is eliminated.

For devices that need repair, SK tes has a regimented repair process designed to maximize values. The level of repair varies by unit type, technology level and condition. This decision tree is based on our deep experience in the secondary market and the market drivers that surround it. Where appropriate we also install a Microsoft Windows operating system via the Microsoft Authorised Refurbisher (MAR) program.

Our reuse and remarketing services ensure optimum value recovery. Our global market expertise and multi-channel remarketing platforms ensure that we resell refurbished equipment for the highest possible returns.

As a part of IT redeployment, we fully manage the inventory for you.  

You will also have access to ITAD reporting on all assets and also Carbon Loop sustainability reporting, including validated and verified GHG emissions data, showing the environmental impact of your ITAD program.

The demanufacturing process at SK tes includes secure data destruction of all storage media, whether through shredding of data sanitization. 

It also includes dismantling, sorting and parts harvesting. A full audit report is available on the client portal.

Equipment that cannot be repaired or resold is sustainably recycled for material recovery and a Certificate of Destruction (COD) is provided for your audit trail.
