Leading the Charge in Sustainable ITAD
Sustainability is a critical component of business strategy. Companies that prioritize environmental, social, and ethical performance contribute to a more sustainable future and become more appealing service providers to clients building responsible supply chains. One of the most respected recognitions in this arena is the EcoVadis Gold Rating.
SK Tes has consistently integrated sustainable practices across all tiers of our operations. Our journey from a Bronze rating in 2023 to a prestigious Gold rating in 2024 by EcoVadis highlights our commitment to meeting and exceeding industry standards in environmental, social, and governance (ESG) performance.
EcoVadis provides sustainability ratings for global supply chains, focusing on four key areas: Environment, Labor & Human Rights, Ethics, and Sustainable Procurement. The Gold Rating places SK Tes in the top 5% of over 130,000 businesses assessed, showcasing excellence in sustainability and performance.
The Road from Bronze to Gold: Our EcoVadis Journey
Achieving the EcoVadis Gold rating in just our second year of participation reflects our relentless pursuit of excellence. Out of over 130,000 companies worldwide, SK Tes now proudly sits in the top 5th percentile.
This advancement was made possible through the collaborative efforts of our Sustainability, Compliance, and HR teams. Under the guidance of Alvin Piadasa, our Group Sustainability Director, we implemented rigorous measures to enhance our practices concerning labor, human rights, and ethics. Our CEO, Terence Ng, has also played a pivotal role in steering the company toward operational efficiencies and stronger governance.
Key Drivers Behind Our Sustainability Success
Several key factors have propelled SK Tes to the forefront of sustainable ITAD and e-waste recycling. Our strategy includes:
- Environment: We reduce emissions through advanced technology repurposing and secure data erasure. Environmental responsibility is embedded into our core operations.
- Labor & Human Rights: We uphold the highest standards of labor practices and employee well-being, strengthening our position as a trusted partner in global sustainability.
- Ethics: Integrity and transparency guide our governance and business practices, ensuring full compliance and ethical conduct.
- Sustainable Procurement: Our procurement policies promote operational efficiency, resilience, and responsibility across our supply chain.
To achieve a Gold Rating, a company must implement well-documented and communicated policies in these four areas and integrate them into business operations.

Future Prospects in Sustainable Technology Repurposing
Looking ahead, SK Tes is committed to strengthening its leadership in sustainable ITAD and e-waste recycling. We aim to expand our global reach, innovate in technology repurposing, and deepen our client and stakeholder partnerships.
SK Tes has recently launched the latest version of the Carbon Loop Report, an innovative tool providing clients with insights into greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions associated with—and avoided through—their IT Asset Disposition (ITAD) programs. By leveraging research and data analysis, the Carbon Loop Calculator quantifies the carbon footprint of retired IT assets and highlights the environmental benefits of sustainable practices. This tool empowers organizations to make informed decisions about their technology disposition strategies.
