Meet the team... Edward Goh
Head of Group Security, SK Tes Group
Location: Singapore
What's the day-to-day of your role like?
As Head of Group Security, my day involves implementing strategies to mitigate potential risks, coordinating with teams, staying updated on the latest security technologies and trends, reviewing the security dashboard, and addressing security queries from our Service Delivery teams. It’s a mix of reactive measures to security incidents and proactive planning to ensure the protection of our customers’ assets globally.
Why did you join SK Tes?
Years ago, I was a customer of SK Tes and engaged their services for security audits. I was impressed by Terence's dedication to both business and people. In a candid conversation, he mentioned an open position in security. Intrigued, I went through several interviews and ultimately secured my role. The entire process followed proper channels with no shortcuts.
Tell us an interesting fact about you.
I’m a passionate music enthusiast—a singer and musician. I enjoy playing the guitar and piano. I also have a background as a trained policeman specializing in hostage and rescue operations, trained by Israeli commandos, and I’ve worked as a crime scene investigator. The contrast between my musical and law enforcement skills adds a unique dynamic to my life.
What is your favorite film?
I love action movies, especially the James Bond series. Daniel Craig’s performances in 'Casino Royale,' 'Skyfall,' 'Spectre,' and 'No Time to Die' are my favorites.
What is your favorite saying?
Expect the Unexpected.
If you could travel anywhere, where would you go and why?
I would love to visit Iceland to witness the Northern Lights. The mesmerizing colors lighting up the sky are a breathtaking natural wonder I hope to experience firsthand.
What do you like to do to unwind?
I enjoy cleaning and polishing my car. It’s both a good workout and a therapeutic hobby that gives me a sense of accomplishment.
What's the most unique aspect of working at SK Tes?
The people and management. I collaborate with a diverse team across multiple countries. The leadership is empowering and gives us the independence to achieve our goals.
What does it mean to you to work for an organization that is sustaining tomorrow?
It means being part of something greater—prioritizing long-term, sustainable solutions that benefit future generations. It’s about creating real, lasting impact.
