SK Tes Acquires Assets of Redeem UK, Including Envirofone
The acquisition includes the Envirofone brand, trade-in websites, recycling program, and backend systems.
Founded in 1999, Envirofone is one of the UK’s leading online trade-in brands, having processed nearly 50,000 units and paid over £9 million to customers between April 2019 and April 2020.
SK Tes, a global leader in IT asset disposition and data center decommissioning services, will use this acquisition to strengthen its mobile retail offerings for consumer takebacks and e-commerce sales, currently operated under the TechSI (TSI) and Stock Must Go (SMG) brands.
This strategic move enhances SK Tes’ position as a global leader in IT lifecycle services, highlighting its dedication to reducing electronic waste and fostering sustainable practices. By acquiring Redeem UK's assets, including the respected Envirofone brand, SK Tes plans to revitalize the brand and expand its offerings to include a wide range of consumer electronics. This expansion will cover IT equipment, mobile phones, computing devices, and gaming consoles, addressing the needs of tech-savvy consumers. Through this acquisition, SK Tes aims to enrich its service portfolio, providing customers with a superior experience while staying true to its mission of sustainability and innovation in the recycled technology and ITAD sector.
