SINGAPORE (20 June 2018) – SK Tes (formerly TES) announced that it has reached a definitive agreement to acquire VSL, a leading provider of IT deployment services in the UK and mainland Europe. The acquisition supports SK Tes’ vision to deliver integrated IT lifecycle solutions and help clients manage the complexities and risks that come with them. This combination will accelerate growth and enhance client engagement via 33 sites across 20 countries, providing an owned and operated geographic platform that is unmatched in this space.
“VSL has a loyal client base that has been earned by delivering outstanding service,” said Steve Graham, SK Tes Europe GM. “We have enjoyed a long-standing business relationship and see the business and leadership team as a natural fit for SK Tes. I am confident this acquisition will further our ability to deliver exceptional value to our clients.”
Jed Thurlow, VSL MD, said, “SK Tes is already a market leader in the services they provide today, and the addition of VSL supports the vision of bringing their clients a more connected lifecycle experience. We’re excited to be part of the SK Tes team and believe there is tremendous synergy we can bring to the services portfolio in Europe.”
At the time of this release SK Tes was known as TES and was backed by Navis Capital Partners, one of Southeast Asia’s largest private equity companies, with over US$5 billion under management. Jean-Christophe Marti, Senior Partner at Navis, commented: “The market is clearly demanding more seamless IT lifecycle solutions, and companies want to work with a smaller number of trusted partners to deliver those solutions. Deployment services are a critical part of that lifecycle and a natural extension of SK Tes’ suite of services. This is another step in the realization of our foundational strategy to build a global circular economy leader around the SK Tes platform.” TES was purchased by SK ecoplant in 2023 and rebranded to become SK Tes in 2024.
