“Being recognized with an Edison Award™ is one of the highest accolades a company can receive in the name of innovation and business success. The Edison Awards honor excellence in new product and service development, marketing, human-centered design, and innovation. We congratulate all of our winners for their accomplishment,” adds Edison Universe.
SK Tes has made significant investments in people, systems, and new technologies in its quest to realize its vision: to be a global sustainability leader. SK Tes helps its clients manage the commissioning, deployment, retirement, and recycling of ICT equipment.
Given the massive increase in battery technology use, SK Tes has also invested in becoming a leader in innovative closed-loop solutions to recycle, recover, reuse, and repurpose lithium batteries globally.
The company’s flagship battery recycling facility in Singapore uses a proprietary physical and hydrometallurgical process to recycle up to 14 metric tons of lithium batteries daily. SK Tes achieves a recovery rate of over 95% with purity levels nearing 99%, powered by solar energy and a 1 MWh storage system.
SK Tes is expanding its global network of battery recycling facilities, currently located in Singapore, France, and the Port of Rotterdam. A new site in Shanghai is planned to open soon, with a larger northern China site to follow.
